This property was home to the Kumeyaay, this property features hills, a creek, wildlife and beautiful native plants and oak trees.  It was purchased in the 70's by a family who lived here for over forty years.  They made it their home, taking care fo the grounds and the house.   Learn more about this land: Located along the Potrero Creek waterway, enjoy nature hikes and the beautiful secular live oaks. Make your own pizza in our firewood oven (ingredients not provided). Explore the nearby town of Tecate Mexico, or head to Campo to visit the train museum or hike the famous Pacific Crest Trail.  Access the campsite through a dirt driveway and head left once you enter the second gate.  Located along the Potrero Creek waterway, enjoy nature hikes and the beautiful secular live oaks. Barbara has a great location near the border and is so accommodating! The driveway is a little off camber from the road so try a different angle, if needed. Tons of animals to look at and the night sky was incredible.

Loved it
20 ft campervan
Barbara was very welcoming ! She helped us make pizza in the outdoor oven, told us history about the town and her property, and was extremely kind. We loved letting our dog play on her huge property. The horse and goat were so cute (she even gave us carrots to feed them), and we enjoyed an evening fire in the big firepit. We felt very safe and would love to stay here again ! Thanks Barbara

A weekend of serenity and solitude.
23 ft Class B
Sardegna Ranch is a beautiful place. It was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Barbara is such a gracious host and was so caring. She made sure that we were comfortable and had all that we needed to get settled at the campsite. Sadly, my wife was a bit under the weather during this trip that we were not able to fully explore what this lovely place had to offer. We had intended to cook some Pizza in Barbara's authentic stone oven which she was willing to help us prepare. She is originally from Sardinia, Italy.... the birthplace of the world famous Pizza... We had a visit from Hope, the very friendly house puppy....and we had a warm welcome from Caspian (the Horse) and Omi (the goat). I enjoyed a short walk up the trail and the views were breath taking. We hope to be able to come back and experience this wonderful place once again. Thank you Barbara ! It was such a pleasure to get to know you. Art & Nanette (Oceanside, CA)

Perfect country getaway!
Group trip
This was our second time visiting Sardegna Ranch, and it won't be the last! We just love the privacy, the beauty and the gracious, friendly, helpful host Barbara and her faithful helper Benji the dog. We had a big group this time, and there was plenty of room for our RV and a huge tent, and everything worked great. Pizza from the wood-fired oven was a hit, and everyone enjoyed the huge firepit big enough to sit 10. While we were there we got to see Barbara's horse, Caspian, delivered to his new home - the kids really enjoyed that. Thank you Barbara! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon. :)
