Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
Welcome to southern Santa Cruz County, home of some of the longest and most beautiful beaches in central California. We are located in La Selva Beach, a five-minute walk to Manresa State Beach. We are a small, working farm with vegetable and flower gardens, chickens and bees. There are many excellent places to hike, walk, surf, swim, tide pool or just sit and enjoy the view. We offer two quiet campsites with fantastic views of the three hundred acres of strawberry fields that back up to or property. Our campsites provide water and electric hookups and are most appropriate for self-contained recreational vehicles and trailers. One of the sites has no size constraints on RVs or trailers. Our Valley View site is limited to rigs 26 feet long or less. We do have a well serviced porta potty on the property, but no showers or sinks. We love to host guests and will provide information about things to do and see in our area. We often loan our State Parks pass so that you can venture out to Point Lobos, Wilder Ranch, Sunset Beach, Natural Bridges and more. Our property is peaceful and restorative. Our two sites are about 30 yards apart. Each camp site includes a fire pit and a bundle of wood. Surf boards, Boogey boards and wetsuits are available for rent from the surf shop on site. We are 15 minutes from the village of Capitola, 30 minutes from downtown Santa Cruz and 45 minutes to Monterey. There is a Dump station 5 minutes down the road at the KOA (for a fee).

Valley View
Friendly service from Robin and Ray. A small place without any other campers nearby. Peaceful with views of green fields and trees, and a short walk to the beach down the road. We will return someday!

We loved our stay at Robin’s land! She was flexible with our changing itinerary, got right back to all of my questions right away. The spot was beautiful and private, we loved looking out over the strawberry fields and loved watching the birds in the nearby trees! So close to the beach and convenient to the Monterey and Santa Cruz area. We were there for a few nights for a family wedding nearby and would stay again! Thanks Robin!

Valley View
I live in the bay area and wanted to do a quick overnighter near the coast. I am so grateful to have found Robin's location. I stayed in the Valley View spot in my 25 foot winnebago navion. There are building near this spot, but they were on the other side of my RV and I had this peaceful and beautiful location overlooking territorial views. The property was very quiet and beautiful, even though it was near the road. I particularly loved being able to take a short hike to nearby beach. What a beautiful day and night staying here. I will definitely return.

Potential is there
Our stay at Valley View was okay for us. We stayed 3 nights, and our days were spent in Monterey and Santa Cruz. We came back late in the evening had a BBQ and made S'mores by the fire pit. The fire pit made our stay feel more than parking our travel trailer behind a business on a gravel pad with the rest of the equipment to clean the property and other stored vehicles. The Host were great, the view as we got out of the trailer and sat under the awning was nice. The view overlooks an area where there was a seasonal runoff area mixed with trees and shrubs, a huge open field/undeveloped area, and to the south strawberry fields. Walk to either side of the trailer, and the commercial building and equipment was apparent. Move the pad north 25 feet north, put in a partition to separate the camp site from the business, put in a wash station, and this would go a long way to giving this site more potential. The view of the open area does get lost with the pad next to the business. The porta potty was located was around the corner in front of the business and could not be seen from the camp site. Located over 100 paces away from the camp site made it unsafe at night unless you used the buddy system. The porta potty was clean, and I did use it during the daytime. The distance wasn't bad, just the line of site made it bad. For dry camping this is a negative. Add a few improvements, keep the price the same, and I would recommend this site. The way it is now, it is, what it is.
