This campsite, nestled just outside of Felton, offers a relaxed and picturesque setting with a touch of local charm. Many campers appreciate the proximity to town and access to the winery and cidery on site, where they can enjoy a variety of drinks while taking in the serene surroundings. The host, John, consistently receives praise for his warm hospitality and helpfulness. While the sites are generally considered comfortable and well-maintained, some mention minor noise from nearby roads, which may be worth considering for those seeking complete tranquility.
Cool spot with a nice patio with cider, wine and beer and a fire place. Nice and quiet. John was a very nice host. Dog friendly. My dog had a blast running in the open field with the John’s dogs.
John was a 5⭐️ host! He gave us a discount at the winery, where we tried no less than eight different seasonal ciders, then walked back across the spanning meadow to our campsite. Dog friendly, very close to town, and a short drive to Santa Cruz. We will definitely be back!
The campsite is really pretty and super close to Henry Cowell State Park and walking distance from some cafes and shops in Felton! John is really nice, we had some yummy cider at the winery/cidery on the property and he even built a fire for us to enjoy with our glasses! The bathroom has running water and flush toilets and is nice and clean.
A peaceful place that was available when I needed a place to park my RV after recently moving. Fantastic Pinot at the tasting room. I booked another week before moving on to my next endeavor. Would recommend 👍
Upon my arrival I was greeted warmly not only by the owners and several other patrons on the deck, but one of the most Stunning views that seems out of this world. I felt like I stepped into a village from the lord of the rings.
After check in I was shown to my site by the owner, they have plenty of shaded areas to relax in a hammock or pitch a tent in the sunshine in the corral.
Since I’m just a backpacker on foot and knew I would be gone most of the day I opted for the slightly further away option from the shaded area where most seemed to enjoy the tree coverage, i enjoyed the sunshine in the corral, out of earshot from anyone else.
With the options of having a glass of wine and sharing travel stories on the deck or swinging in a hammock down in the shade, it gives an opportunity to pitch a tent near some of the greatest sights around. Definitely worth staying and exploring the area for a day or two if you’re just passing through.
