Fare thee well my brother
Positive: Safe from the ‘Wild Desert’ as it is a fenced in private property. The owner of the property is a very nice gentleman and I fell in love with the very-old Pit that guarded my tent all night. I came to tears in the morning when I said goodbye to a soul-mate I will never forget. If you like a toilet, shower , and access to water, that is all there too. I was able to have a small pit-fire to help keep me warm on a very cold early April evening and the views of the Mountains and stars are fantastic. The property is more suitable for RV travelers. It was inexpensive. The ‘Not So Good’ : it is RUST-tic. Also, it has what seemed to be permanent campers/boon dockers that drive in and out. The neighbors right across the street were practicing music for several hours. At first, because of the repetitive nature I assumed it was a recording made to either scare of animals or drive the neighbors crazy. Not a big deal if you too are staying up late to have a good time. Not so good for someone like me that drove 5 and half hours after a long flight and desperately wanted to crash so I could wake up early to hike Joshua Tree. Which brings me to my next point, the drive to get into Joshua Tree is very long at least an hour, so it looks very close on a map but is quite a drive. This is not the owners fault however in retrospect I would have stayed north of the park for easier Joshua Tree access. Hindsight is 20/20. It was my first time visiting. Thank you for sharing your place.

This campground is one of the best we've been to! The hosts are incredibly bright and kind people. The campground itself is charming with lots of details to keep you busy. It's extremely dog-friendly, and there's everything you could need. The pizza oven is gorgeous. We'll definitely be returning to this lovely place.

What a fun place! Mikey gave us the grand tour of the property and it was amazing, so full of personality and unique areas to hang out. The wind did not allow us to fully experience the star gazer bed but there were other accommodations that worked out perfectly for us and our little dog. On one night a few of the campers, Mikey and the dogs gathered around the communal kitchen to enjoy good vibes and the pizza oven. We were close enough to enjoy Joshua Tree, thrifting & hot springs but far enough to have privacy and peacefulness. Loved it!

My wife and I enjoyed our weekend tent camping trip on Mikey’s property. The setting is beautiful and surrounded by mountains. The property itself is quite interesting and full of things and art to explore and take in. Amenities wise there is more than one would ever need when camping. The bathroom was very clean and cozy. One of those places you could hide as a little kid and really enjoy. The pizza oven was a hit amongst us and two other couples. There were a couple of us hanging in the outdoor kitchen and connecting which is what this place invites you to do. The best part about it all was Mikey’s hospitality and enthusiasm. He is extremely welcoming without being overbearing. Just a great person who is genuinely happy to share his property with others. Do yourself a favor and really explore everything this place has to offer and especially at night when it really comes to life. If you appreciate art, thrifting, nature and vibing you will dig this place.

We loved sleeping basically outside! A little dirt never hurt anybody, and the free-roaming pups were great additions. Would absolutely stay here again.
