Apollo Ranch is a peaceful and well-maintained campsite near Denver, perfect for travelers needing proximity to the airport or city. The host, often mentioned by name, is consistently praised for being welcoming, helpful, and attentive, contributing significantly to guests' positive experiences. Many reviews highlight the clean facilities, including the surprisingly pristine porta-potty, and the thoughtful amenities like the dog play area and picnic setups. While primarily positive, a few reviews noted the lack of shade, suggesting a need for sun protection during longer stays.
Andy was the best Hip Camp Host we've have to date! I had a few questions before placing our booking and he answered them quickly. Then after booking, arrival instructions were very detailed. We were in communication on our day of arrival and unfortunately, we ran into mechanical issues with our tow vehicle and ended up arriving a day late for our reservation. Andy was SO understanding. We ended up staying somewhere else that night and arrived around 11am the next day. He met us at the driveway, we had a good conversation about our issues and more! Andy then helped direct us to our spot, show us where everything was (water, power, port-a potty, available firewood, ect) and then was available via message if needed. Everything was as described in the listing and was a perfect stop for us on our road trip. Andy went above and beyond for us the first night we couldn't make it, which lessened the stress of a very stressful day. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Andy!
The campsite was not set back as far from the buildings as I had hoped, but it was still far enough to not feel like camping in someone’s backyard, and the barn is between the main house and the campsite, so there is plenty of privacy. The port-a-potty was very clean and conveniently located, and the fire pit (with wood provided!) was perfect. The kids and I had a blast. Andy was an excellent host.
Thank you, Andy for a nice safe stay! We were delayed in our travels due to an accident on I-70 and he was super kind and responsive to our communications regarding our late arrival. Much appreciated after a long travel day! The port-a-potty was super clean and they had nice little touches at each campsite.
We loved van camping here! Perfect location outside of Denver. Plenty of room for the pups to roam and we even road our mountain bikes quick before sundown. Had a great fire (and he delivered free firewood & fire starters!) with perfect stargazing opps.
This host was amazing. We got in late and he waited by the gate to show us to our site. Campsites were well maintained as was the bathroom, and we greatly appreciated the checkout time so we could sleep in after the long day before. It was a short drive to Denver after our nights stay and would make for an easy commute for someone that wanted to spend their days exploring the area!
We loved our experience at the Apollo Ranch. Thank you, Andy!
