The campsite/tent itself was good. It’a not a completely inclosed tent, so you should expect bugs like grasshoppers to get in time to time.
-Our biggest issue was with the Kayaks. A small and a large kayak were listed for rent at $20/each. I asked for the bigger one, assuming it was a two person kayak. When we arrived, we found it was just two single person kayaks. It was fine, until the next day came when we asked if they could deliver. They wanted some gas money, but then they could not find one of the paddles for a kayak! After attempting to search for it, they kind of just gave up and told us oh well. When I asked if they would be willing to purchase another paddle for us to use, they pushed back and said “maybe”. In fact, they almost seemed to discourse us from going at all, even saying that I could “tow my girlfriend in the other kayak if I want” which is kind of ridiculous to ask.
-We followed them to the local store, where they only had two paddles in stock, and were $94. I forked over the cash, hoping they would be nice enough to at least compensate some of this cost.
-We then get to the lake, unload, and the wife still asks me for gas money! $25 for a 25 mile round trip? After I just paid $94 for a paddle you didnt have?
-To add on top of all of this, they had two kids and a dog that were constantly loud around camp. We wanted to get away to somewhere quiet, and it rarely was, outside for later at night.
Overall, 6/10 experience. they should state correct info
