Kind family and host offered their shaded yard for us to rest in during a heat wave. The camp site does not have shade. Fun watching the goats. Private site. 20 minutes or so to Kokopelli trails.

Enjoyed my month in Fruita. Mick and his family were friendly and welcoming. The animals were fun to watch - chickens, goats, horses, and cats. My dog and I would definitely visit again.

Mick’s place was perfect for us. We had quick access to the mountain bike trails, it was quiet, well kept, and we enjoyed hanging out with the furry and feathered friends. I would definitely be back.

Awesome service
9 m travel trailer · With kids
I can't get imagine better service. Mick had the campfire ready to go, and offered us everything from bug spray to s'mores ingredients. I much appreciated that they invited us to let our dog off the leash. Our boys enjoyed the chance to feed their horses. I have never felt so welcomed!
The entrance is tricky, and backing up requires skill as it's maybe 90 degrees more than an S curve. Mick offered to do it for me. If you aren't skilled backing up and wouldn't feel comfortable with Mick in the driver's seat, look elsewhere. He did mention years of experience in trucking. He offered 30 amp service and water. No dump station on site but there is a free one right next to the freeway entrance.
Overall a very pleasant stay.

Everything was as expected! Nice site and fun animals. My kids loved the very friendly cats and seeing the horses and goats. Beautiful views. Easy access to water and electric hookups too.
