Daily Only Lava Tube Visit
Josh was an excellent Host and showed us around his new campground. We enjoyed nice hot showers that he keeps super clean. We loved the star gazing platform, just ask Josh how to turn the solar lights off. This campsite is high up on the hill so the nice cool breezes were well appreciated after a day in the heat. Josh' place is the perfect place for large groups and it very conveniently located a short drive from Green Sands Beach. Thanks Josh, Megan and I enjoyed our stay on your land.

Daily Only Lava Tube Visit
Private lava tube!
A great spot between the Manta Rays in Kealakekau and Volcano National Park with a hidden lava tube from Mauna Loa. Josh was very inviting and gave us a tour of the whole property. The brand new cabins and lava tube were amazing. I’ll definitely be back with my friends!

Magical stay among the Ohi’a
We booked with Captain Josh for a site for our campervan. He was a great communicator from the beginning and helped us choose a site that worked with our Van. The draw for us was the Lava Tube and, if you’ve never seen one, that alone is worth the campsite fee! This property comes alive at night with solar lights softly guiding the paths and gently illuminating gazebos. The moon and the stars are entirely accessible from this elevation of about 3500 ft, and you can see all the way to South Point. We picked a simple site for our van, but if you’re cruising the island in a sedan you’ll find well designed and simply delightful cabins to stay in here as well. Very clean, hot hot water (use sparingly as it all has to be transported in and stored in this location on the island), outdoor kitchen facilities, campfire rings, and a central location from which to explore amazing sites. Josh gave us amazing advice on places to visit, he is an amazing host.

Daily Only Lava Tube Visit
Amazing camping spot!
Josh’s campground was amazing! We stopped by after green sands beach and he gave us a tour of the most spectacular lava tube I’ve seen on the island! We were able to rinse off in the heated outdoor showers. All of the cabins he showed us were so cute and had their own bonfire pits and star gazing spots! This is a must visit for sure and we will be going back with a larger group in the near future :) mahalo Josh
