Nestled in a bend on the Big Pine Creek, this property is characterized by its hardwood forests, pine woods, bubbling creek, restored prairie, and sandstone bluffs. It’s serene beauty feels healing and inspiring no matter which direction you choose wander. You will have access to miles of walking on neighboring nature preserves. During fair weather you may see people float by in kayaks, canoes, or tubes. Come watch for wildlife, play in the creek, gaze up at the stars, and reconnect with yourself. With advance notice, I may be able to give you a 15 minute garden and property tour! Just let me know when you book. Want to book for a large group? Send me a message and I will try to accommodate you. * NICHES Crow's Grove Nature Preserve (Hiking, 4 minutes walk away) * Carbondale Bar (Bar with great food, Open Wed-Sat 4pm-10pm, 5 minutes away) * Williamsport Falls (Indiana’s highest free-falling water fall, 15 minutes away) * Downtown Williamsport (Grocery, bars/restaurants, hospital, 15 minutes away) * Hooker Corner Winery (Wine and events, 16 minutes away) * Downtown Pine Village (Coffee shop, gas, and pizza, 18 minutes away) * Downtown Attica (Grocery, gas, restaurants, drug store, 18 minutes away) * Ravine Park (Walking trails, disc golf, huge playground, 18 minutes away) * Badlands off-road park (Attraction, 20 minutes away) * Portland Arch Nature Preserve (Hiking, 30 minutes away) * NICHES Black Rock Nature Preserve (Hiking, 30 minutes away) * Downtown Danville, IL (Bars/restraunts, grocery, dispensary, 35 minutes away) * Purdue University (40 minutes away) * Shades State Park (Hiking, 50 minutes away) * Turkey Run State Park (Hiking, 50 minutes away) This property is an easy and scenic 40 minute drive from Purdue’s campus, making it the perfect get away for students and townies, or a unique place to stay for people wanting to visit Purdue. To remove a barrier for students, Purdue students may request a free tent for their stay at Creek’s Bend Campground! This campsite is closed for the winter season - see you in April 2025! Come set up your tent at ‘Under the Pines’! This dispersed camping site features camp furniture, a composting toilet for your comfort, and many fire pits for you to set up near. You may set up anywhere within the campground (except for in common areas near the toilet, as you may be sharing the space with camper guests) but the favorite spots are as follows: 1. “Under the Pines” with firepit 1 2. “Under the Pines” with firepit 2 3. “Central Stand of Pines” with firepit in lawn 4. “Nook along edge of lawn” The campground is a large flat area atop a wooded sandstone bluff that towers over Big Pine Creek. The view from camp down to the creek is obscured in the summer. The creek is accessible by a marked, short, downhill pathway; if you intend to bring a canoe/ kayak, ask ahead of time about access for boats. The campsite is about a short walk from the main house for assistance when needed, but still offers privacy from our home. Being a working farm, you may hear a tractor rolling by during reasonable hours, people may briskly pass through, and we may need to access a storage shed on the campground during your stay.

Just WIW!!
Tent
We loved this site! Abby was wonderful. The spot we pitched was beyond our expectations. The tour was informational. The restrooms were clean. Firewood was a dry clean burn. There were trails to explore to our hearts content! And the creek, nothing can compare. We honestly were not expecting as much as we received. The people that do live close (ish) were very kind and also helpful. We were treated better there then anywhere we have ever pitched before. We were taken by surprise how absolutely wonderful our stay was and the beauty of the place! Thank you Abby, you and your partner are doing amazing work. We plan on coming back after winter.

Peace and Tranquility
Tent · Group trip
My friends and I had an incredible time at this Hipcamp site. The tranquility of the place is unmatched, making it an ideal spot for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The trees are absolutely stunning, providing a beautiful canopy and a sense of being truly immersed in nature. One of the highlights for us was the isolation. It’s rare to find a place that offers such a perfect balance of seclusion and natural beauty. The host was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also had the pleasure of meeting Odie, the giant Labrador. He was a delightful companion, even though he did manage to steal some of our food! His presence added a charming touch to our experience. Overall, this site is perfect for anyone seeking real isolation camping. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!
