This piece of land is in a nice area in the sloping hills. Though it's suburban, it doesn't feel that way. The houses are large and well spaced. The field is grassy and secluded. I stayed at a time when the trees were bare of leaves and could see the peak of only one house off in the distance. At night there were many stars. It was quiet except for the call of the wild turkey (the feathered kind) as it bedded down.
The hosts are very responsive. In fact, I had an issue with my dates and they allowed me to arrive a day early, no problem. It's in a great location - close enough to stuff, yet far enough away. Woodsy. I have a Honda Element with an eCamper on top and came prepared with water, coffee and a portable toilet system. The lot isn't completely level but there are cinderblocks available if you can't simply park in a clever manner.
I really enjoyed my stay, taking pictures of star trails at night. It's a good spot with great hosts.

We have stayed here numerous times. We will never stay anywhere else when my husband works in the area. Perfectly private, relaxing, and the Fall colors were beautiful!

2nd time staying here. We looooove being out and not having to stay in a RV campground. The dogs love the grass and nice shade trees. We love the privacy and peacefulness. Already have another trip booked for the next work assignment in the area. Thank you Stephanie.

Maple wood RV
I was looking for a private place while I visited family in Evansville during Memorial Day weekend. This site met my needs perfectly. There are a few things anyone considering it should know. It is right on the road, but the traffic is light and the site slopes down, so I hardly noticed, and the rear of the property is entirely wooded. Overall it was very quiet and peaceful. The slope is significant, so you need to have some means to level your RV, if you have one. (And 4-wheel drive is helpful as well to get back out.) Overall very satisfied.

Beautiful safe place to stay. We stayed 6 nights and had perfectly peaceful stay. We love the fact he dogs were able to hang out off lead. So much nicer than being stuck in a cramped RV park. This is NOT a negative just to help anyone who wants to stay there enjoy the area a bit easier. Bring some boards or extra adjustable leveling items. The property is on a slight hill, makes it beautiful but a bit of a challenge to get completely level if you don’t plan for it. We know that now so it will not be ann issue and will always pick this spot for our stay when in the area. Host were the perfect balance of asking did we need anything but yet left us to our own to enjoy our time.
