Get away from the city life and come stay down at Riverside Camp and Ramp. This campsite is nested on a beautiful view of the Ohio River just 3 miles outside of Madison, IN. Get away from it all when you stay under the stars at the Riverside O-Asis!
With access to a fire ring, picnic table and shared green space, you can enjoy all of the amenities of camp life plus a beautiful view.
This was our first experience in staying at a Hipcamp. Usually stay at COE or State Parks.
Great location to the river, large grassy areas. No gravel or concrete to park on, only grass, we found it challenging to get level on the grass.
. Full hook ups with 50 amp service. Individual trash cans at each site. Grass was groomed nicely.
Beautiful view of river when the sun comes up and clear skies at night.
Cons:
Little pricey per night
No Handicap site with concrete pad
No bathhouse.
This was our first time using Hipcamp and first trip with our "new to us" trailer. Site 4 was as pictured. A nice large flat grass site and great view of the river. Close to Madison and Clifty Falls. We would book again for sure.
We have been RV camping for years and this was by far the best experience we have ever had and the best view. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a waterfront RV place. Thank you so much for everything.
View is amazing. Sites are a bit close side to side, but wide open behind toward the river, so it didn't bother us at all. Some road traffic, but during the day we were out and about so it didn't matter and it died down at evening/night. Super convenient to Madison. We will be back for sure. Great stay!!!
We absolutely loved our time here. All the sites are wonderfully serene with an unmatched view. They are spacious and easy to back into. We had no issues getting our 38’ travel trailer backed in and hooked up. Having full hook up, including sewer, was an added bonus.
We drank our morning coffee at the picnic table while watching hawks, eagles and all sorts of birds on the river. Our days were filled with trips to downtown Madison, just a few minutes away, for the Broadway market and visiting the unique shops, cafes, art, live music and brewery. We spent one full day hiking at Clifty Falls State Park, also just a few minutes away.
Jaqueline and Todd were wonderful hosts. They went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. They helped us get acquainted with the area and were quick to respond to any questions we had. Most sites were filled by the end of our visit, and we didn’t feel crowded at all.
Overall, we feel lucky to have found this little slice of heaven. We will be back again soon and would recommend this location to anyone looking to relax in a beautiful, welcoming place!
