When we bought this property 5 years ago, it was a little run down. Many years ago, it housed sheep and cows. We revamped our little 15-acre farm and continue to improve its looks. Now it is our home and houses my riding stable. Many people have commented on how nice it is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share its beauty and the animals with others.

We have 6 spots to pitch a tent, but we're pretty flexible so if you see another area, please ask!. Site 10 is most secluded. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able toenjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying at our horse farm. We have many chickens, 2 bunnies, potbelly pigs, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 3 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well.
You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles & kayaks. There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything.
Anette's farm offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for families looking to enjoy a unique camping experience. With a variety of animals like horses, pigs, and chickens, kids are guaranteed to have a blast. While the rustic setting is charming, some visitors noted the need for clearer communication regarding amenities like campfires and the bathroom situation. Overall, the farm provides a blend of nature and hospitality that leaves a lasting impression.
If you love farm animals like bunnies, chickens and horses this is the right place. It's not the kind of woodsy, in the wilderness kind of camping you might normally think of. But if you are not as much of a rustic camper, this is a good place for you. It was definitely nice to have access to clean water and flushing toilets!
We actually ended up staying at site 5. It was very nice. About an hour from Indiana Dunes National Park. There are horses, bunnies, pigs, and chickens around on the farm. The main downside is the roosters crowing. There is a bathroom in the barn. There is a cowboy shower in the barn.
