Come explore this incredible piece of Cold War History as you will get a tour of the underground Atlas F Missile Base!This is the site of a decommissioned Atlas F Missile Silo which was abandoned by the Air Force in the 60's.   You can book separate from camping a historical tour of the Missile Base property and the underground Launch Control Center with a tunnel that leads to the 176 ft. deep Missile Silo.(This is a construction zone, as the bunker is being renovated into an underground home. Be prepared to sign liability waivers.) Located in the Smoky Hills of Kansas, you will be camping in beautiful fields with great views of a 250 MW windfarm. Hike over a mile of trails on the property and pick out your own camp spot. Join other guests at the top of the Missile Silo for a campfire at night and enjoy stargazing. Just mins away from the local tavern and restaurants in Wilson & a Brewery in the small town of Sylvan Grove. Nearby is Lake Wilson, one of the largest and cleanest lakes in the State, there are water sports and Epic rated mountain biking trails.

The perfect stay over
Such a cool place! So convenient right off the highway for us to park our camper van for the night with beautiful views. The missile silo tour is a must do. Matthew’s vision is so inspiring and I can’t wait to see what he continues to create.

Matt is an amazing tour guide. He learned the names of our three grandsons, ages 9-12, and geared the tour of the missle silo so it was interesting for everyone. He is a meticulous craftsman.

Not just a novelty venue
Matthew was very helpful and accommodating and welcoming. The land is beautiful. His knowledge of sustainable living practices is amazing. Take the tour, it's totally worth it if only to hear Matthew talk passionately about his plans for the silo and his interests in general. Hoping to come back.

Pretty much as advertised on your website , the tour is great. Matthew was very knowledgeable about the details and history of the missile site and the Atlas missile.
