Located on the Flint Hills Trail State Park in Allen Kansas, Basecamp Flint Hills offers camping in the scenic Flint Hills of Kansas. BFH is 20 miles north of the world capital of gravel cycling, Emporia KS, and 20 miles east of historical Council Grove. Ideally suited for tent camping, BFH has hammock trees and shaded acreage. Two back-in camper sites with power and water are also available for those who prefer a bit more luxury. This is a community style campground where picnic tables and campfires will be shared with your neighbors. We encourage you to expand your circle and enjoy the experience! Seasonal facilities include an open air, cold water shower and port-a-potty available April through October. BFH - Boondock Sites
An off-season last minute stay--being the only party at BFH made for the perfect under-the-stars camping. Allen, KS, is only 10s of yards away on the other side of the Flint Hills trail, but it felt like there was no one around.

Site 2 - BFH - Camper Sites
Great spot for tent, small camper and also two trailer sites. Water and port a let. Beautiful property with excellent views. Right on flint hills trail. Amy and Darius great hosts and booking is easy.

Flint Hills Base Camp Allen, KS
Nice campsite, clean and quiet. Flint Hills Nature Trail runs right by the campground for easy access. We camped in a 25 ft RV. Will definitely camp here again. Really appreciate all the improvements to the Flint Hills Nature Trail, this is a great place to get out and ride!

BFH - Boondock Sites
It’s beautiful and friendly! Very peaceful. We liked the flexibility in where to set up our tent (on soft grass) and the prairie view is delicious. Love the outdoor shower too.
