We had a really nice experience at Debra’s land in early October. The access to water, electric, toilet and shower were great amenities! We didn’t get to meet Debra but she was very responsive and kind on the in-app communications. We were greeted by Buddy, the most affectionate cat I’ve ever met. The site was close to route 1 and made getting to acadia convenient, but the traffic sounds were apparent. Overall would recommend for a very accommodating camping experience!

Debra and Henry were very responsive to my needs and requests. The campsite was lovely and included running water; electricity for both the site and directly into my tent; a picnic table with a canopy in case of rain; a raised fire pit. I had a lovely view of Jase's Pond to enjoy the tides coming and going and seagulls hunting for their meals. The provided tent was clean and spacious. There is a single bathroom (sink w/ cold water) and toilet and a single shower.

Best Campground Near Acadia!
Tent ·
This site was absolutely perfect! Debra and her husband were so incredibly welcoming and accommodating to me and my partner as we made our first visit to Acadia! The site was absolutely stunning! Perfect for traveling in and out of Acadia while staying away from the busier tourist areas! An added bonus was the tents were provided, which we didn’t know! Took all the hassle out of unpacking and setting up! So convenient and right on the water! Wonderfully splendid views and such a serene spot. The showers were perfect for rinsing off after a sweaty day of hiking, and the bathroom was clean and well kept! Best part was the ice cream discount just a short drive down from the camp. Great for cooling off after a long day in the park. All around, this was a wonderful place to stay and we will be coming back!

Campsite with Tent Included!

We were at acadia national park without any service and failed to communicate with the hosts on our late arrival. The host thought we werent going to make it so they had turned the lights off late at night, making it a bit difficult to locate the campsite in the dark. But Debbie was very sweet and accommodating - she promptly responded to my messages and helped me locate the campsite kindly. Thank you for the great experience!

We did not end up staying at this campsite due to the condition the property and facilities were in. When we arrived, the property was cluttered with tools and other debris, which you would have to navigate while unloading gear. The shower was not in working condition. It had no knobs or shower curtain, and it was smeared with what I can only hope was dirt. The shower/toilet room, which was less than 10 feet from the campsite, also smelled. The campsite itself was quite small and there barely would have been room for our 6 person tent. Due to the size of the campsite and the tools cluttering the whole area, it would have been very hard to stay there with our dog. Communicating with the host was fine at first, but on the day of arrival, I received no responses to my messages detailing when we would arrive. She was not there when we arrived. After we left the campsite, I called her and she answered. I explained the issues we were having and why we did not feel comfortable staying there. Although she has a strict cancellation policy, I asked for a refund since the condition did not match the pictures or description of the campsite on Hipcamp. She said she would see what she could do. I didn't hear anything else from her, so I submitted a formal request for a refund through Hipcamp. She ignored the request and it expired. We paid over $300 for a site we were unable to use plus another fee for a second site elsewhere. I don't recommend this property to anyone. Stay elsewhere.
