Campers have had overwhelmingly positive experiences at Ginger's campsite, appreciating the serene and private setting by a tranquil lake. Many highlight the peaceful environment, with sounds of loons and frogs contributing to the natural ambiance. The host, Ginger, is frequently praised for her responsiveness and welcoming nature. However, a few reviews mention the proximity to Ginger's house and the shared use of her home bathroom as minor drawbacks.

This spot was exactly what we were looking for! Though close to the home, the space felt fairly private. Ginger was very responsive and kind. There was ample firewood and infinite stars. Reasonably close to Acadia National park and Bar Harbor. We almost extended our stay but sadly had to move on. Would definitely recommend this spot of you're looking for a peaceful, quiet get away. The only noises you'll hear are loons and owls. Thank you Ginger for sharing your property with us!

WOW!!
Tent
This is by far the best place I’ve ever camped. It’s BEAUTIFUL! It’s on an essentially private lake you overlook in a forest. And it was SO quiet! Felt so safe and this place felt so special. Ginger is so welcoming and it was so cool to see the space she’s cultivated here. Great experience!

this spot was a literal dream! it was exactly what i was hoping for - a serene, quiet, and beautiful place to camp for the night. the pond is peaceful, gorgeous and i had it all to myself, and there was even a kayak to take onto the water. ginger was super quick to respond, was very easy to communicate with, and was helpful with any questions i had. I would absolutely, highly recommend the lonely loon!! my only feedback is that i would suggest some kind of compost toilet set-up so guests don't have to disturb ginger in her home to use the toilet.

great value, beautiful location. the pond is stunning and ginger’s amenities are generous! as others have mentioned, i initially felt a bit awkward about texting ginger to use the restroom, but she was quick to reply and it was a total non-issue. use the kayaks! such a beautiful place for a paddle.
