Fall Vibes and a Great Stay

I stayed at Bear Woods Resort in October 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The resort provides a beautiful fall backdrop and is exceptionally clean. The entire space is new, very well-maintained, and I’m excited to return next season to see the continued progress. I stayed in an RV spot with full hookups (water, electrical, and sewage). Bear Woods also offers glamping tents, cabins, and a full home for rent. Conveniently located between Manistee and Traverse City, it’s an ideal spot for exploring northern Michigan. I can't wait to return.

Peaceful Place

We had a great time at Nellie’s property. There are many well taken care trails we used to walk our dog. It’s close to Bear Lake and fishing spots by the Manistee River and 5 min away from restaurants (brewery/caffee). The property is quiet, peaceful and the dark sky at night is astonishing! We just had an issue at the arrival as it was really dark and the GPS pointed to another driveway (with a “private property” sign - in case you get there, turn and head to the next one). We’re looking forward to staying there again.

Quiet, charming, and convenient

I recently stayed at this campsite for nearly a week with my 29-foot travel trailer, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. The location is fantastic—very quiet and serene, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Having water and sewage hookups right at the site was incredibly convenient, and everything worked flawlessly. The property itself is beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere is just what I was looking for. Although I stayed in my trailer this time, I couldn’t help but admire the glamping tents—they’re absolutely adorable! I’m seriously considering trying one of those on a future visit. Overall, this is a wonderful campsite, and I’m already looking forward to my next stay. Highly recommended!

Chicory Glamping Tent

This little hidden gem isn’t going to stay hidden for too long. It’s kinda one of those things you want to share but also want to hold close. What an amazing place. Easy to get to, close to everything “up north”, amazing views, quiet, peaceful and comfortable. Equipped with pretty much everything you may need for glamping. We very much enjoyed our time here. We will be back! Save our spot! My teenager said “this is like one of those places on TikTok”. They loved it too.

Quiet, secluded, and recently estab

This place was great!!! They have tons of property to walk around on, our dogs loved the daily walks in the fields around the property. The campsite was clean and recently built. The host was welcoming. We ran into a minor issue when we got there and it was promptly addressed and resolved. Couldn't ask for a better host and staff! It's quiet and secluded enough for great camping, but close to frankfort and sleeping bear dunes.
