Another Place consists of one rustic campsite suitable for 4 or less people (e.g. 3 or fewer tents, or one small pop-up camper). It is an extremely private, quiet, and peaceful place to serve as basecamp for your area adventures. The land is a mix of open/small pines, and then part of a maple forest that we share with the neighbor. There are light hills if you choose to explore the property, with a view of Crystal Mountain at the rear of the property (just stay on the trails!)
This campsite is rustic, with a firepit, a picnic table, and a dry storage area for firewood, extra water jugs, and trash bags. There is no running water or electricity on the property. Other than that, please treat this as if you're rustic camping, and bring everything you need to be comfortable (enough water, food, trash bags, power banks, etc); this includes removing all trash and taking everything with you when you leave (please, leave no trace!)
Another Place is just 2 miles from the Betsie River, exactly 5 miles from Iron Fish Distillery, 2 miles from Crystal Mountain and the sculpture park, a short 15-minute drive to many destinations along Lake Michigan, including the towns of Elberta, Frankfort, Arcadia, and Beulah (Crystal Lake). A 30-minute drive will get you into Leelanau Peninsula for wine-tasting, and a 45-minute drive will get you to Traverse City for endless adventures. There's truly no end to activities in this area.Another Place consists of one rustic campsite suitable for 4 or less people (e.g. 3 or fewer tents, or one small pop-up camper). This campsite has a firepit, picnic table, and newly constructed outhouse with a changing/or showering area. There is no water or electricity on the property, but some potable 5L jugs will be filled and provided for you. Other than that, please treat this as if you're rustic camping, and bring everything you need to be comfortable (water, food, power banks, etc); while a compost bin, trash bin and trash bags are provided, we encourage minimal waste and hope you'll leave the site as you found it :)
