At the heart of the largest intact prairie grassland on the planet in the Nebraska Sandhills, Seven Pines Ranch hosts self-contained RV and tent camping along the Middle Loup River near Seneca. Great for kayaking (Two-Hour Kayak Adventures available), tubing, summer wading, fishing and abundant wildlife, the night skies are phenomenal. The area is designated as an international dark sky reserve. The camp amenities include water, firewood and an authentic outhouse on site. There’s plenty of open space for your pets to run. We only book one at a time, so you have the whole campsite to yourself.

River Retreat
Great campsite, picturesque view of the river and the sand hills. The trains were a bit loud in the night but other than it was beautiful. Bob was a great host.

River Retreat
We came in after dark and found our campsite easily as Bobs directions are very clear. The road to the site was smooth for our 2wd rental minivan and the site was clean and level for our tent. The outhouse is close which is a big plus if you are traveling with kids and dogs can be off leash if you’re traveling with a pup! During the night we heard trains passing by. There is a beautiful river running past the site and we saw turkeys and geese and rabbits. If we are ever passing back through we would definitely stay again, thank you!!

River Retreat
Riverside campground!
I was on a road trip with my spouse and children when we discovered Bob's land at the last minute. We arrived after sunset, were not in the mood for camping, and the kids were exhausted. Bob's Popup was not set up because the season had not yet begun, and he is welcome to stay at the campsite. But when he met us, he changed his mind and instantly set up the Popup. In all of my travels, I've never encountered a more kind, friendly, and compassionate host. The area has a river in front of us, and there is a lot of wildlife.

Great spot to see the night sky
Great spot, a long drive, but such a beautiful sunset! The night sky is just amazing as well! Saw a heard of white tail deer an heard the coyotes howling in the distance. The hosts were great, there is a very cute clean outhouse and a well pump for water. Electricity was available as well.
