Notched in the foothills of Skedaddle ridge in the northern Appalachian mountains. In a forest of conifers, cedar and alder thicket, where a Viking long hall casts a Scandinavian aesthetic to the homestead. Part of a small ecological community, and near the Wolastuq/Saint John river for water sports.Pitch your tent on mossy earth where elves play or in the woodland of evergreens and birches. Meditate and watch life happening without any effort. Listen to what the birds are saying, tracks large mammals like moose, bear and deer, take a walkabout and forage edible plants and mushrooms with me or fire sit and share tall tales. Find a trail and hike for days, and you might just find your new camp. Part of the Appalachian range, 🌄 with old and new growth of Acadian woodland, farm fields and country homesteads. 🛖 Within walking range of the land is an alternative intentional community, a nature school, a forest museum with permaculture gardens, hundreds of kms of ATV paths, beaver ponds 🦫 ,maple sugar bush🍁, farm fields, lookouts, waterfalls 🌊 and hiking trails 🥾 with history of the Skedaddler heritage. Further by short drive are the Wolastuq, Becaguimec, and Shiktehawk river systems are all nearby for canoeing, kayaking, and swimming, and these are fed by smaller streams that harbor good fishing 🎣, foraging 🌿 and peaceful afternoons. Come stalk the good life, feel fully A-LIVE and experience a grounded and re-wilded existence.
