Secluded in the wilderness, Boulder Brook Hipcamp has private tent sites right next to a babbling brook. The access road is a nice gravel .6 mile long road that is not maintained in the Winter. There is firewood for sale via Venmo right in the parking area, $6 per bundle. There is also a nice outhouse. There are 4 first come, first serve sites with tent platforms and fire pits. There is quick access to the Rockingham Recreational Trail, which is ideal for walking, mountain biking, and exploring. There is also a great swimming hole nearby called Chivers Pond. The campsites are located on the back corner of the Chivers Farm property and seasonal farm goods will be available for campers to purchase coming in 2025.Boulder Brook is a small wilderness campground with a parking lot, a shared outhouse, firewood for sale, and 4 campsites. Each site is right on the babbling brook, has a 12x12 tent platform, a fire pit with cooking alcove, stump seating, and shovel a broom and a bucket. There are no site assignments, sites are first come, first served. Site 1 and 2 are close to the parking lot and a vehicle can be backed to within 50 feet of the sites. Sites 3 boasts water on all sides and is a 400 foot walk from the parking lot. A wagon is provided for Site 3 campers to tote gear to the site. Site 4 is new and has its own little road and parking area. Firewood is available for purchase with Venmo right at the parking lot for $6 per bundle. There are walking trails, lots of woods to explore, a rail trail, an epic swimming hole, and more! The site is right in the middle of 200 acres of private woods!

Best experience ever
Tent
Peter was so helpful and amazing! Without a doubt the best host, very attentive about us even before we got to the site. We got our car stuck and he literally moved the earth with his tractor to help us get up the road in the snow. I cannot recommend him and his site enough. The campground was so clean and organized, the backcountry bathroom was spotless and really nice. Site three was so beautiful near the river with firewood easily available. 100000/10!!!

Private, forested, brookside sites
Tent
All three sites offered beautiful views of the forest and brook, and they all felt private (we camped at site 2 but were able to check out the other spots--and all 3 site were occupied that night). Amenities were top-notch--large campfire areas, spacious tent platforms, easy access to dry firewood, and a well-maintained composting toilet. The one downside to this lovely spot was some road noise from the nearby expressway (although the crackling campfire and rushing brook mostly masked the traffic sounds). Anyone who is a light sleeper may want to bring earplugs or headphones.

Boulder Brook is Great!
Tent · Group trip
Boulder Brook is a great campsite and you can’t go wrong with site 1, 2, or 3. All 3 sites sit on the river, and are cozy, secluded, and spacious. There is a nice large wooden platform for your tent, along with a fire pit with log stools and fire wood to buy. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. We had a great time camping here and would definitely come back again!

We chose to stay at site 3 (all sites were available our weekend). Its a short walk to from the parking area but there is a great cart provided (thank you!). The firewood available for sale was dry and protected from the elements. Outhouse is one of the nicer ones I've experienced and make sure you check out the book inside. There's a broom, bucket and shovel at each site and the platforms were in great condition. The property is partially accessible to the public but we had plenty of privacy. Site 1 and 2 are much closer to each other and you can easily see each site but site 3 is set much farther back and is extremely private.
