Perched on the ridge with spectacular views, our farm promises a true escape. Located 25 minutes from the beautiful village of Taralga, ours is a spot to unwind. With a large campsite, you can fit several large tents. When permitted, there’s a great campfire set up with a grill ready to go. Please bring a back up gas cooker in case of fire ban. There are no toilet facilities or fresh water, so you will need to come prepared. Access is via a steep dirt road. At night, the skies are majestic, and the sunrise and sunsets are spectacular. Lots of wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, owls, eagles, hawks, goats, deer, and the occasional reptile! Taralga is home to the Grand Ettie cafe, the Argyle Inn, pub, general store and more. The famous Laggan Pub is 25 minutes and Crookwell just a bit past that. The grass has been cut back for safety. A couple of tables and 6 chairs are provided on site.Pitch your tent on the ridge and enjoy the peace and quiet of our farm. Telstra customers will enjoy full reception. There’s a campfire set away from the tents, with an incredible view of the mountains and valleys to the north. Located just 25 minutes from the beautiful village of Taralga, this is the perfect getaway.

True isolation with a view
Tent
Loved staying at James's place at Burra Burra Ridge. The best things about the site are its true feeling of isolation, feeling far from neighbouring properties and with basically no passing traffic; and also being propped up on the ridge allows for amazing 270-degree views down over the nearby valleys to the north, east and south. Aside from the local sheep, spotting wildlife like the galahs, roos, and the call of the kookaburras was about the only noise you'll hear - a true escape from the city. Sitting by a fire or cooking on the (provided) table overlooking the valley at sunset was magic. The location was also great, being a stone's throw from nearby Taralga, and only about an hour from Goulburn for anything more major required. If I had to nitpick, it'd be great if the site were a fraction more level (with a RTT I had to be a bit strategic). Also, not a fault of the property, but being on the ridge you are somewhat exposed to the elements (read: wind) so some planning and consideration are required there. Would happily stay again. 👍🏼👍🏼 Matt

Peaceful, serene and secluded.
Tent
My partner and I absolutely loved Burra Burra Ridge for its 360° views, the serenity and the fact that at night, the only lights all around were out campfire and the solar spike lights thoughtfully left by the host James. Be immersed in this beautiful landscape, with just the sheep and birds (and wombats and kangaroos if you're lucky) to keep you company. If you're the type of people who like a place to yourself, this is it! Nearby village Taralga is really lovely. The general store is excellent (open 10-3pm daily I believe) and you can get most things there. Come with a full tank of petrol though as the petrol pump in Taralga isn't always open. Thanks James!

Great secluded camp - pretty simple drive out there. No road noise & no one around, perfect for us. Unbeatable views and outlook from the camp. Simple set up. Plenty of birds and sheep keeping you company. Highly recommend 👍🏻

Waking up to the view of the hills
Tent
What a beautiful spot. Watching clouds roll over the hills was peaceful and relaxing. Farm animals and wild birds is the only company you gonna get which is awesome. Would definitely recommend this site and would love to come back in the future.
