Based near Mount Utopia, Nerrigundah, we fell in love with our little sanctuary in 2020. There are two families Dwayne, Michelle, Robbie and Sharon and their four boys Blake, Taeg, Cooper and Flynn. Campers at heart, we started spending nearly every second weekend in our campers and this lead to many a night discussing what else we could do to make this property a place for others to use. It is a work in progress and there is plenty more to come, currently there is a ablution block that is up near the old house site, we decided it was best to have the camp area closer to the river. We have since added a camp kitchen, large undercover area and two cabins (for our own use at this stage). Enjoy direct access to the river plus more swimming areas on the property. Campfires are permitted. There is some firewood on the property but probably best to bring some of your own. There is Telstra service enabling mobile coverage if needed especially for emergencies. 4WDs are recommended to access this campsite. During the rain we recommend 4WD only. In dry you can access with an all wheel drive. Please message us if you're unsure about weather conditions and your vehicle. Our little piece of Utopia is still a work in progress but is picturesque as well as peaceful. Your furry family member is welcome to join you. We hope you enjoy our little Utopia.Private 200 acre rural property on the Tuross River at Nerrigundah providing swimming, hiking, fishing, mountain bike riding and canoeing/kayaking. Large grassy area for campers with toilet and shower block a short walking distance. There is also a large undercover area provided and you have use of the camp kitchen sink and preparation area. Direct access to the river plus more swimming areas on the property. Our little piece of Utopia is still a work in progress but is picturesque as well as peaceful.

Firepit. There is some firewood (uncut) on the property but probably best to bring some along or if you bring a chainsaw you can cut your own. Our young boys are selling very large bags of split wood for $25 a bag onsite.

Off leash. Just aware there are foxes and wild cats. We see footprints but have only seen 1 fox in 12 months. Snakes are also about we do have snake vibrators around the camp sites and kitchen and on the track to the river.

Our stay at Tuross River Camping in Nerrigundah was nothing short of outstanding. For nearly three days, we didn’t see another soul—just the sound of the river, the birds, and the crackling campfire. It was pure, uninterrupted tranquility, exactly what you want from a true camping experience. The setting is breathtaking, with pristine river views, lush surroundings, and a sense of total seclusion. It’s the perfect spot to switch off, relax, and soak in nature at its best. We spent time fishing (though the fish weren’t biting), but we did manage to reel in some massive eels, which made for an unexpected adventure! Honestly, we wish we had stayed longer. This place is a rare find, and we’ll absolutely be back for another visit. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with stunning scenery and a true off-the-grid feel, Tuross River Camping is the place to be!

A real Utopia!

Utopia by name, utopia by nature. This is a magical place and I would camp there in a heartbeat. I can't wait to swim in the pristine waters of the Tuross River again. We'll be back!

Beautiful spot. Have been several times and enjoyed every stay. Plenty of spots to swim and enjoy the river. Lots of nice grass areas. Be a great spot for groups and families.

Great campsite, beautiful river, amazing place. Having the roof over tables for extra shelter when it rains or is hot is an extra bonus. We had a great time and enjoyed the kayaks too.
