Small creekside secluded site
10 m pop-up camper
Louise and Michael are delightful hosts, and have a rolling cattle property with (permanent) Tom's Creek cutting through a paddock valley bottom. A serene camp-site with cicadas, frogs and cattle the only company. Total seclusion, with good shade. A bit of a slope, with room for one camper trailer levelled out with a single wheel ramp. Unimproved site, which is fine as campers have cleared the site enough to work for a single camper to small family. Fire scar on site, but better to bring your own firepit, which we did on Louise's suggestion. The creek had reasonable flow, and best cooling off was sitting under the mini waterfall right next to the site. Perfect on a hot day. Quarry reserve best for 4WD (high range fine) and light camper at most. Hipcampers valuing privacy and serenity will appreciate. About a 15 min drive south of Ellenborough on the Oxley Hwy. Good gravel road access, but remote so would suit the adventurous touring the hinterland, perhaps planning to travel the Oxley Hwy, or explore the winding gravel road from Ellenborough to Wingham. We stayed 2 nights, and suits a one or two night stay, recommended for that.
