Hike-in to this Hipcamp.

Wild camp along the Saratoga 7, S81 and L516 Snowmobile trail. You can hike, cross-country ski or snowshoe for miles on a network of snowmobile trails to Lake Desolation State Forest, Galway, Scarandaga Lake, Spruce Mountain parking, and Wells Rd parking. You'll likely see moose or deer tracks in the morning. Please note: the road is a logging road, which means a 4WD vehicle with snow tires and/or chains, 4 wheeler, ATV or snomobie is required to get to the campsite. Carry in-Carry out, please be sure to leave no trace. We have a covered platform at GPS(43.21194100122187, -73.98178301287206) where you can pitch your tent, no other amenities.You can camp on the covered platform with a view of the mountains. There are no hookups, if you bring a vehicle it needs to be 4WD and able to drive on a logging trail.
