“Simple Mountain Camping” is our motto. Located approximately seven miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, At the Ridge Campground is surrounded by North Carolina’s beautiful Pisgah National Forest and the North Fork River. Here you can experience what you came to the Blue Ridge Mountains for: crisp evenings, sitting around the campfire, excellent views, relaxing in nature, hiking to waterfalls and fishing, Don’t forget our favorite, just watching the water go by! All at an affordable price.
Great place! Would recommend this place to anyone with dogs. Mine went in and out of the river all weekend, not worried about other people or them wandering too far. He was kind and helped find local hikes, brought fresh apples and cabbage. Will be back 100%
I loved camping so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The campsite is well situated between the Parkway and Brevard. The site was very quiet and peaceful with the sound of the river right next to our site. We stayed at site 6. Tom, our host, was very kind and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us great local information about great places to see!
Great spot right on the river! We had a great time at At the Ridge Camp- Riverside Escapes. We are a family of 5 & stayed in cabin #2. It is a rustic camping cabin but was clean, spacious enough for all of us to sleep comfortably & had electricity. The showers were HOT & Tom made sure we had everything needed. They are still rebuilding from Helene but are definitely up & ready for campers! We will definitely be back.
Upon arrival my group and I were appalled by the blatant misrepresentation of the campsite from the website. The photos on the website show a scenic creekside campsite. That was not our experience; we instead had a view of excavators in a mass clearing of trees. The bathrooms were practically unusable with the water not working. I would steer clear of this place and find a nice free site in the woods!
