Enjoy an elevated camping experience on a private creek near Max Patch, a popular hiking destination with 360 degree views adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. Surround yourself in nature, escape reality and relax with the sounds of babbling creeks and birds chirping.
The property is at 3,600 ft elevation and is typically 10 degrees cooler than Asheville and Waynesville, so bring a sweater!
The camping area is across the road from the host house, down 10 stone steps. Renters have exclusive, private access to this area, as well as a half bath and refrigerator in the first floor barn area of the host house.
Jess's campsite offers a serene escape with a babbling stream and singing birds as your soundtrack. Her welcoming demeanor and helpfulness, along with the playful presence of her dogs, Clyde and Tigress, add to the charm. Guests appreciate the convenient location close to hiking trails and Max Patch, with the added amenities of clean bathrooms and a fridge. Despite its proximity to gravel roads, the peace and natural beauty of the area remain undisturbed.
Jess was an awesome host, and such a cool camping spot, she made me feel very welcome and helped with any questions I had. She gave me amazing recommendations for some nearby hikes, my dog and I had made great memories, oh yeah her dogs are awesome too ha
We had a wonderful time even though it was short! Jess met us on arrival and showed us around, which I gotta say you have a beautiful property! We loved the barn conversion! We went during a burn ban so no open fires were allowed, Jess let us bring a little wood stove that kept the camp alive! Next time we’ll hike and explore max patch due to it being so close. Overall a great stay for a couple or a family of three, the creek has a pretty strong current so I’m sure during the summer that would be a really nice spot to cool off!
Jess's land is amazing. The perfect getaway for our weekend. We fell asleep listening to the babbling stream, and woke up to birds singing. Jess is wonderful and welcoming, her dogs Clyde and Tigress were an adorable and unexpected perk! The site is between two gravel/dirt roads, however while we were there there were very few cars and they didn't really bother us at all.
Jess was awesome!!! She’s a great host with the best friendly little dogs. She even gave directions and I ideas of hiking trails and waterfalls in the area. Wonderful spot with a great host. Bring a coat…. It gets cold 🥶. Definitely will go back!
Jess was super helpful with anything that came up and has a great site! We hiked Lemon Gap to Max Patch nearby and loved a quiet fall weekend in the mountains
Jess was amazing, the space is perfect. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend
