Learn more about this land: Our forest farm offers a variety of beautiful camping options. A setting on a mostly flat terrain by a rushing stream is a very short walk to the parking area and bathroom facilities. Campfires are allowed at this location only in the available fire ring - wood bundles can be purchased. You are welcome to hike into our woods to find a private spot near the waterfall or higher up the mountain. You are also free to stroll through our pastures and watch the sheep graze and our chickens peck, or through our garden in its lush abundance. The town of Hot Springs, which is a popular stopping point for Appalachian Trail hikers, is a 30 minute drive, and the eclectic, artsy small city of Asheville is a one hour drive. We are 15 minutes from the renowned Bernard Park rafting/paddling launch on the French Broad River, and 25 minutes from the historical town of Marshall which is included on the Blue Ridge Music Trail. RVs cannot be driven onto our property due to the curvature and narrowness of our driveway. All of your trash is to be taken with you upon your departure. We can provide as much natural spring water as you need. Our forest farm offers a variety of beautiful camping options. This campsite is nestled in a serene rural setting with the gentle sounds of a nearby stream providing a peaceful backdrop for a restful night. Guests appreciate its well-kept amenities and the charming farm atmosphere complete with chickens and sheep. While the remote location offers tranquility, it may not be ideal for those planning late nights in Asheville due to the winding drive. Overall, the hosts are noted for their warm hospitality and clear communication, enhancing the overall positive experience.

Really beautiful, rural spot! Such a cozy, peaceful campsite right by the stream. Well kept amenities! Only downside is it's a bit of a long, winding (but gorgeous) drive outside of Marshall proper. Not an ideal drive if you're looking to be out late in Asheville, but perfect if you're looking hang out and hike around the local area!

Lovely, but not Private

The house was a bit closer to the campsite than expected, but the hosts were there and ready to help when we had a wasp sting emergency! (explore the tobacco barn at your own risk haha). The property is very beautiful and remote and the stream running right behind the campsite is so peaceful. A perfect way to celebrate a birthday with friends.

It was our first camping trip with our 11 month old & it was a great place to start out with. Very peaceful, we LOVED the firefly’s with a bonfire at night & our daughter really loved the sheep and standing in the creek. Very accommodating hosts!

Peaceful and welcoming hosts

The campsite was beautiful, right by a creek and farm. Very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us a quick tour of the farm and animals(chickens and sheep).

The camp spot on Brianna’s homestead farm was perfectly serene. Sited nearby a gently babbling stream: soothing sleep music. At night the fireflies sparkled gorgeously in the trees and raspberry bushes. Brianna is a generous host! She left a sweet vase of wildflowers for us on the picnic table. The instructions sent for getting to the farm are clear. This place is special.
