Lucky’s Lookout
Good place, good location, good hoo
Great location centrally located around the best fishing spots. Private and dark. It’s about a half acre cleared with a coarse rock driveway and parking area. It won’t be muddy after a rain.
Water tasted like water does at the beach. It’s fine for washing but you may want to bring water for drinking and cooking.
You will get full sun from mid morning until late afternoon so it would be hot during the summer.
Good cell coverage with Verizon and AT&T. If you have Starlink, you can put the antenna on the south side and you’ll have clear view of the northern sky from above 22 degrees up. So probably fair or good coverage.
There are no trash cans nor trash service. Pack everything out yourself.
Mosquitos were awful but Deep Woods Off worked well. We had a nice campfire without being bothered after liberal amounts of Off. Maybe the owner can put up a Purple Martin or bat house.
The full hookups with septic are a rarity in these sort of places. I enjoyed my stay there and will return.

Lucky’s Lookout
This spot was private, big and in a convenient location. We enjoyed the access to Harker's Island, Beaufort and Atlantic Beach. The owners were very helpful and responsive. Bring your big spray (just like in many other places in NC). Great site!

Absolutely wonderful secluded site!! We are HOOKED on these singular private sites and this one is PERFECT!!! Always feel so spoiled with both water and electric so thank u so much for that!! Great fire ring!!! Tons of space to move into and make a home away from home!!! We had trouble finding the site the first nite( I will add we we awake over 30 hrs though and barely functioning til we found it) I laugh cuz the gate says it all with a very cute LUCKYS LOOK OUT SIGN!!! ( perhaps put a ‘HIP CAMP’ sign on the mail box for ‘ old eyes’ like ours to help a bit more lol)

Lucky’s Lookout
Private and convenient.
Nice and private campsite, close to Harkers Island and the Cape Lookout National Seashore. Good communication with host Kyle, directions were spot on and he provided further information about the area by text when we asked. Lots of night birds, interesting to sit by the fire and listen to.
There is some traffic noise, but can't be seen from the site so that's good.
Overall, we will stay here again when we visit the area.
