Among the thick forest of the Haliburton highlands lies a very tranquil, quiet and still place. The area although rugged and pristine offers many activities for all to enjoy such as hiking/biking/boating/kayaking/beaching etc. To escape the calm environment its only 15 minutes to the quaint village of Haliburton where you can find farmers markets, shops, restaurants and art. The Woodzzz was made for those that enjoy the outdoors and are needing a gentle reminder of what little we need to enjoy the life we live! Welcome to the thick of the forest. Here you will find it easy to relax and unwind. Leave the stresses and worries of everyday life behind and soak in the relaxing/peaceful atmosphere of the woods. Enjoy watching nature through your panoramic window and starlight window. The deck offers plenty of space and sun to enjoy and light up the bbq. Finish off your day with some s’mores on the fire then get cozy in bed next to the woodstove. Minutes away to three lakes and public beach. The Canopy is off-grid and runs electricity from a battery bank, this will be enough for lights and charging a couple of devices. There is a compostable toilet for the dome exclusively and a shared outdoor shower stall on the property. The property is a mature forest where you will find much nature and wildlife. You can explore anywhere you’d like while respecting the privacy of neighbouring units and marked property borders Please indicate if you plan to bring a fur friend.  Winter glamping: -Snow tires are a must, AWD is an asset -Sauna is in operation year-round -Shower is closed for winter season

Loved camping here, didn’t want to leave! Fell in love with the view of nature and whimsy of the dome. Jordan was an amazing host!

Highly recommend. Jordan was fast to respond and accommodated last minute changes. The yurt was clean, comfortable, warm and set amongst beautiful trees and nature. 10/10!!!

Do not book!
The cabin is on a pleasant plot of land, but that is the only nice thing I am able to say about this. The sleeping nook is not pictured for a reason: it is terribly small and wouldn't fit 3 people unless they were toddlers. The wood stove is not properly ventilated, and results in smoke in the lofted sleeping area. We had to bail on our second night of the trip because of the smoke causing respiratory and migraine problems. The ladder to the loft should have an advertised weight limit, as it is very flimsy and shaky. The bed and dishes were covered in stains and gunk. We did not receive the wood "extra" we asked for, and a refund was not granted. I advise you not to waste your money or valuable time. Certainly a booking I regret making. The site could be improved by purchasing a new bunkie cabin with proper ventilation with safe sleeping arrangements and cleaning regularly.

Thank you Jordan for this weekend getaway. The place was great in the middle of nature. Having the dome warmed up and the wood prepared was great attention to details. The dome was clean. Sauna was excellent after a long day out in the wild. Hope to be back another time. Frank&Sorina

Dome camping
The dome was great to stay in, loved every minute of it. It had a hard time driving up a hill but Jordan was the in minutes to help us out. The walk to the dome was all ice, very hard to walk down. Maybe putting some sand boxes out along the trail down so we can put sand down if it get bad. All and all, it was beautiful. He had everything you need already there. We did bring more wood and I'm glad because we needed it. Thank you very much Jordan, it made my birthday a great couple days.

Fun in a snow globe!!!
If you get the chance to enjoy this experience, jump on it. The dome is cosy and warm, even when it got to -23!! The sauna is lovely, and the hiking and walking is gorgeous. Jordan had the woodstove lit for us on arrival, and the place was freshly cleaned. The little kitchenette has all the basics and my, oh my, those rocking chairs are heavenly. Thanks Jordan for a sharing this special place - it was just the reset we needed.
