River Ranch Camp Ground
A great natural campground where you pick the site instead of being assigned. My dog and I found one just yards from a beautiful meandering river with easy access. If your dog loves water this is the place for you👍🏼

Easy instructions, great area. No one was there so we had the place to ourselves. Really nice.

River Ranch Camp Ground
Beautiful & Relaxing
River Ranch was easy to find and well-marked, including a HipCamp sign. We had our pick—we were the only ones there. There were beautiful trees and fields of daisies. We went close to the river to hear the sounds of the water. There were some defined areas in the grass for setting up camp, all on grassy fields. If we had stayed longer, we would’ve explored the river’s edge. Like everyone else stated, the porta-potty was excellent: my kids thought it was the nicest they’ve ever seen.😄. We went to sleep to sounds of water and field birds. We went to bed early because no campfires were allowed. That was fine with us, and understandable. The only sounds at night were crickets and the river—so peaceful! Packing up in the morning we heard woodpeckers, songbirds and turkeys. My daughters also spotted a bald eagle. We definitely recommend this site, and we would definitely stay here again.

River Ranch Camp Ground
Lovely place to Hipcamp among old orchard trees along the North Umpqua River. Cat was responsive and greeted us after we settled in. Would stay there again.

River Ranch Camp Ground
We had a very nice and quiet stay here at River Ranch Campground. Access to the property and info on the site was clear. Our main purpose to camp here was some time by the river and where our dogs could play. The bank was narrow and overgrown. Clearly it would be due to the river having recently been high from heavy rains. We know this, we live nearby. A clear, open view of the river from our campsite would have been desirable. We had walking paths in the mowed grassland, surrounding each camp area, and the dogs enjoyed swimming in the beautiful Umpqua River. Our campsite was perfect for our small motor home, and it allowed for our friends 2 vehicles to come spend time with us for the day. If the riverbank area was able to be cleared more for a broader beach area, we would definitely come back to stay, or would have booked a 2nd night.

Beautiful field with wildflowers to camp next to! Trails right across the road to hike. Cathryn was welcoming and friendly! A great spot to take a dip in the river
