Ruah Ranch is situated on an old donation land claim and was also the site of nomadic Native American tribes. Abundant wildlife graces our acres as well as the beautiful Thoroughbred horses we raise. You'll likely be serenaded by coyotes in the evenings and may catch sight of them during the day. Three different species of raptors frequent the skies above the ranch and beavers have established outposts along the stream.
Beautiful thoroughbred horses will greet you every morning from their nearby pasture while you enjoy your coffee in the shade of the trellised Wisteria. Silver Falls State Park is a short drive away where you can enjoy hiking and biking and even guided horseback rides. The Oregon Gardens are just a bit further north on the outskirts of Silverton and many wineries dot the landscape all around.
If you like horses we’ll be happy to give you a tour of the ranch and introduce you to the resident equines, many of which have horse racing royalty up close in their lineage.
Ruah Ranch was a beautiful space, especially if you like dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. It was bit chilly in my tent during the winter season so bring extra layers. Thank you Lee, Connie, and especially Sherry for jumping my car battery after I drained it. I got some much needed fresh air and sunshine. The folks in town were pleasant as well. 🙂
We’ve stayed here many times, always finding peace and quiet, scenic, pastoral views, and friendly hosts. Water and electric hook ups for RV are a good benefit here. Don’t hesitate to camp here if you’re out this way.
Nice folks, chatted for a bit about their race horses. Lee offered to help spot me backing in and help me get set up. Site was nice and peaceful, just make sure you have leveling blocks. O
h and a very friendly Corgi came for a visit a few times which was nice!
Great place to stay if you want to see some beautiful country and want to be close to Silver Falls State Park. Easy to get in and out and the host are great.
We loved our stay at Ruah Ranch. Was nice and quiet, we loved walking down the gravel road. Connie was great and answered any questions that we have! Her little dog Chloe is precious and has the unofficial title of camp host :) we would definitely stay here again. I look forward to staying in the spring or summer when the weather is even better!
Beautiful property and a comfortable place to stay. Highly recommend!
