Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Our campsite is perfect for those who have their own camper and are fully self-contained. There are no hookups, but you will be able to camp directly in front of Devil Creek, and listen to the relaxing sound of the water. There is also some area along the creek where you can hike and/or fish. A picnic table and fire ring are provided. Rocky Fork State Park is just two miles away. Our campsite is located right on Devil Fork Creek in the beautiful mountains of NE Tennessee. There is a picnic table and fire ring provided. It is 3 miles from Devil’s Gap on the Appalachian trail, and 2 miles from Rocky Fork State Park. You will have complete privacy as this is the only campsite so there will not be any others campers nearby. Our home is quite a bit further up the driveway, on the other side of the creek and it is not visible from the campsite during the warmer months. Please note that the camper in the photos is not available for rent. It is just photographed for reference only.

My daughter and I decided to try car camping for the first time. I’m in a wheelchair, so we worried about accessibility. This little piece of paradise was wonderful. Not only is it a beautiful location, but the gravel surface allowed me to use my electric wheelchair. We ate at the picnic table, enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit and were able to sleep with the ramp door open to enjoy the sounds of the creek and rain overnight, because it was a private area. I think this location has set unrealistic expectations for future sites 🥰. Absolutely highest recommendation. Loved it!

A Piece of Paradise

We loved car camping next to this beautiful creek. This was our first experience car camping and we have been spoiled for future camp sites! We ate dinner at the picnic table, made s’mores in the fire pit, and spent the night listening to the babbling brook. Even the rain couldn’t dampen our experience as it simply enhanced the sound (and speed) of the creek. Highly recommended! I was traveling with my mother who is in a wheelchair and the gravel pads made this the perfect accessible camping spot for us. Someone not limited by wheelchair would definitely be able to explore into the woods. There’s space that if you wanted, you could set up a tent. Definitely a great place for fishing. Should you choose to take the opportunity (just make sure to read the guidelines related to fishing on property).

I love camping at Jamie’s. The site is flat and well-maintained. It was so relaxing sitting by a campfire by the creek. We saw hundreds of fireflies in the trees and field. It was magical.

This location is GORGEOUS, but it is closer to the road than the pictures make it look and there was quite a bit of traffic throughout our stay. However, you can't really hear it over the creek.
