The view is outstanding, campsites were very accessible and considerately spaced. Our dog loved it as well! The outhouse situation is not for the feint of heart, but if you’re real woodsy you probably won’t mind. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay. There are a few things that we didn't expect that you should plan for while staying here. The "bathrooms" are a couple compost buckets very close to the campsites at the top of a hill. The view of the horizon and sky is magnificent, there are no trees near the campsites so bring sunscreen and shade. The pine forest is absolutely amazing to hike in. There should be a spigot but we couldn't find it, and there are no streams or water sources nearby. Finally, ln a sunny day the ground heats up fast so it gets really windy around 12. Overall it was a good experience, just be prepared for a fairly primitive camping experience keeping in mind the wind, and close proximity to other campers.
It was a cool little spot with a nice overlook. Flat at the top with a lot of open land. You could see parts of the lake. It was nice to just stare out and see nature.
I definitely want to come back with a group of friends.
Great views, sites and communication. We crazily were camping @10° and T. Stacy made sure we were prepared. Really peaceful and surprisingly close to 75.
