Offering a serene and peaceful way for campers to enjoy our land where deer visit nearly daily. Enjoy nature close to town.
Buck Acres offers a mixed camping experience with a blend of positive and practical feedback. Many campers appreciated the friendly hosts and the quiet, shaded setting, ideal for unwinding and enjoying nature. However, some visitors noted the presence of a single portable toilet and ongoing construction, which could impact the tranquil atmosphere sought by some. The proximity to local attractions and amenities was a highlight, yet the noise from nearby roads and a lack of certain facilities like showers were points of concern for others.
I would not stay here again. There is a KOA in town, I would try that. Whoever is running this place had trucks, motorcycles running into late night early evening, there is an old dragster car w flat tires that someone is apparently working on. I expected a much better campground and I would have not left a negative review, but after people (I believe the ones that run this place) were running pickups, an old fire truck after 11 PM. If that wasn't enough someone then fired up a loud motorcycle at 1 AM. We come to these places for quiet rest and relaxation and pay good money to try to have decent accommodations, but this was far from the case here. My advice GO ELSEWHERE!!!!
Area is nice and the individual sites are spread out enough to offer a small semblance of privacy. The host was extremely friendly and pleasant. The only real complaint I had was the portable toilet. There is only a single one for everyone's use, and it was in bad need of servicing, to the point it was nearly overflowing and unusable. Everything else about the place was lovely.
Wonderful staff, wonderful campsite! Showers would be beneficial but everything else was excellent. 10/10!
