2024 Total Lunar Eclipse
Both June and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. They provided some amenities usually not found at a primitive campsites, such as 2 showers and 2commodes. We got a real ranch experience hearing turkeys and roosters. We our first armadillo in the wild on the first night.

Better with people. Not for soloing
I like the set up at this place. Looks like a spot were you would want to set up for a couple days. Not very close to town so you need supplies but the stars are pretty fantastic. There was lots of material/pallets to use as structure. Bunch of seating around the property. Clearly marked campsites. Some fairy lights around paths, but it is dark still. Composting toilets and shower with a bit of privacy. No critters setting up shop anywhere I could see. My only concerns were- 1. Seemed like noone else was there, but ramshackle buildings and disused campers all over the site. Looked like a apocalyptic ghost town. (Could use some clean up) 2. The road going in is 100% dirt and has grooves from when it is wet. In a car not a problem. I was on a motorcycle; not pleasant. Doable if it's not wet. I would stay here again. Although, not by myself and not on a motorcycle. Looks like the place to be about 20-40years ago.
