This was my first hipcamp adventure. Went to sleep with the sounds of nature, woke up to a gorgeous sunrise with views of the pond and green hills and lush trees. Nothing more you could ask for! Thank you for sharing it!

Great dispersed camp site. Was able to set up near one of the ponds. Lots of open space. Cows were super friendly but also moved on after a while. Hosts were super accommodating after another hipcamp host nearby didn’t provide the security code. Happy I was able to salvage a great night at a great spot. Will definitely come back.

My two boys and I had a blast here! Easy to get to and easy access. The cows were the highlight of the trip. We’ll be coming back here.

Nice quick countryside getaway!

Really nice spot not far from the city but far enough that you feel like you've gotten away from it all. It's a unique experience to be around the cows. The calves were adorable and cows are curious so they hung around a bit until they realized we didn't have food for them. The land is pretty expansive so we were able to find a place that fit our needs and felt entirely secluded. There's also a little pathway running through a dry creekbed that made for a nice evening walk. The snow-on-the-prairie and broomweed plants were in season and idyllic. We had a great time! The directions on Hipcamp were a little different than the actual directions. The property is unmarked but also very easy to find and Rebecca is thoughtful, prompt, and helpful. We had no trouble getting in and out and we were the only ones on the entire property. It is worth noting that there's a small dirt road on the property, but I drove a bit "off road" to go where we wanted to set up camp. There is some slight light pollution from nearby Princeton and Farmersville but we were able to see the stars clearly. Probably a nice place for a telescope. Also, there is some road noise from the bridge over Lake Lavon. It didn't bother us and it dies down in the evening, but worth noting if you're looking for absolute silence. If you're doing a shakedown trip and want to test some new gear or if you're wanting a quiet, countryside spot while you explore the cute nearby downtowns I think this a great spot!!
