River Site 11
The campsites were spaced very well. It felt like you couldn't hear or see your neighbors, which was lovely! The roads are a tiny bit rugged which is great because it feels like you are out in nature and away from the city! The check in instructions were accurate & the onsite person's response was quick & friendly!
The land is right up against the Colorado river, which would be lovely if there were actual well manned access points into the water. Pebble beach was a 8 foot opening into the water that felt more like a boat launch spot. It was absolutely not a beach. The other water access area had a little more space water side BUT the entrance into the water was a small, muddy walk into marsh. Neither allowed for enjoying the water as we hoped.
We did get to use a canoe and enjoy the river that way! It seems well designed for fishing, canoeing & kayaking more so than hanging out water side and swimming, which we were hoping for.

Love this place!
Camp site was clean and very shaded! Hosts were so fast, we requested fire wood and the site said they had 24 hours to respond but literally took them 20 minutes to deliver it. Fantastic sites, great outdoor shower and clean port o poties! Also the river made the WHOLE trip! Would totally stay again!

Tent Camping at River+ Site
I would definitely recommend camping at River Forest Haven! I went during the week and it was very quiet and peaceful and I was able to fish all day and relax in my hammock. The management is very hospitable and friendly. You can tell the owners love nature and camping. I stayed at a River+ campsite and it looked just like the pictures. The tent areas were clear and dry and I did buy firewood but then was able to scavenge for more wood as well with no problem finding more. The firewood I purchased was a good deal, large quantity of perfectly dry hardwood splits for $15, and that was great to get my campfire started at first and going again in the mornings. If you’re an angler bring what you need to harvest bait fish, I don’t think I got a bite on critters, lures, jigs, or preserved baby shad. All the live bait I used was eaten in under a minute. OH, last thing; there is a little bit of cell service, which is nice. The service goes in and out at times but it worked well for sending and receiving texts. All in all I’d give it a A rating for tent camping and will be back.

RV Site A
Loved the remoteness of the property and the customer service from the team. It was a very HOT weekend and they kept us stocked with ice with quick delivery. We stayed in RV site A which has a bit of grass but also mulch area near fire pit. Walking through the property- the tent sites are very canopied and private, more so than the RV sites but we were the only RV for the weekend so it was no biggie! Tubes available for the river with lots of river access.
