Ken and Rachel's spot was a great getaway from the SLC heat. They send detailed driving directions through Hipcamp messaging - recommend keeping those saved on your phone and paying close attention to them as the GPS map from the app is not accurate. Their driving directions are easy to follow though!
We stayed at Campsite 1 - plenty of room for a large tent with a firepit, grill, and picnic area as well. We rigged a sun shade to the frame over the picnic table. You will have to cut through the back side of Campsite 2 to access the port-a-potty, but it wasn't a huge deal for us. The sites are far enough apart to afford some privacy, but we really enjoyed having the place to ourselves on the second night.
We spent the majority of our time relaxing at the campsite. We tied floats to the bank and lounged in the creek. We kept our dog on a long leash for the most part since the road is relatively close, but there is minimal traffic.
Ken and Rachel stopped by to greet us, orient us to the site, and give us some tips on a few local driving destinations. They were available, but non-intrusive, hosts. We had a great weekend getaway and thank Ken and Rachel for their hospitality!
