The Cleveland farm has been in the family for 7 generations! It's nestled in the heart of Vermont ten minutes from the quaint town of Randolph. We currently have 3 alpacas, 24 chickens, 2 kids, 2 dogs and 1 cat that thinks it's a dog. We grow a lot of our food, heat our home with wood we sustainably harvest, and build memories with children all on our farm.

Heart of Vermont Farm offers a truly picturesque camping experience with breathtaking views and welcoming hosts who go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay. Many campers rave about the stunning views, peaceful setting, and the opportunity to interact with friendly farm animals like alpacas. However, some visitors noted challenges with wet firewood and an unexpected encounter with a dog, which might be a concern for those with young children. Despite these minor hiccups, most campers left with plans to return, appreciating the farm's beauty and the hosts' hospitality.
J.Lynn was very helpful and accommodating. I stayed at Heart of Vermont after other plans fell through. I sent a request late at night and they accepted my request for that night. They met me, guide us (my gf and I) to the site, gave us an orientation, and even gave us recommendations on places to set up our tent. The area was pleasant and the ground was soft and not rocky. It was a great experience and a huge lifesaver!
This was a cute spot with a great little town. They have 2 sites and we would like to return someday and try the other site. The little pond had tons of frogs our daughter loved to watch which was fun and kept her busy. It did however increase the amount of mosquitos because it is a tiny still pond. I recommend coming here but things to remember would be bring an ax and tarp for firewood. The ground was wet and the wood was left for us and was barely usable by nightfall after being on the wet ground by the time we arrived later that night. It was also large and we couldn’t cut it down (are fault for not bringing the tools but we just weren’t expecting cut tree limbs when we paid for firewood). They did have a dog that came to the site and wood stand growling and barking at us. This isn’t a problem but our daughter is afraid of dogs so that was hard for us.
This was a lovely camping spot. We spent two nights with our dog and it was very peaceful. Nice flat space to set up your tent and big fire pit. The hosts were super nice. We would definitely stay here again.
We had reservations at the hill and ordered eggs, firewood and alpaca fur. That night turned out to be a terrible rainstorm and we decided not to camp. But we did go to the site to collect eggs and alpaca fur and make some coffee for the drive to get out of the rain. The hosts were fantastic - took us up to the spot to see the amazing view while we enjoyed our coffee and ended up having a lovely chat. We also got to meet the animals. They were so kind - they gave us a refund for the site and just charged us for the eggs and generous bundle of fur. We would definitely stay there another time!
This is an exceptionally beautiful spot located just minutes outside of Randolph. The host and family are incredibly kind and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will be back soon. Buy the eggs, they are amazing.
We loved our time here! The very private tent site is tucked into the edge of the woods with a great view across the meadow to the mountains. Hosts were very gracious in making sure we had all we needed. We purchased fresh eggs and wood from them and both were enjoyed during our stay. We delighted in the farm animals and sights and sounds of birds, butterflies, fireflies, and the starry night. We will be back!
