We are a working farm, scenic setting with a 200 year old farm house, quiet and peaceful, nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains. Close to historic sites, such as Monticello, Montpelier, and the Manassas Civil War Battlefield. Luray Caverns and Sky Line Drive can be found 30 to 40 miles west. We are one hour southwest of D.C. and one hour northeast of Charlottesville. During your stay you can sample from one of the many wineries/breweries in the area. If your traveling with your horse, we have indoor stalls and turnout available.

Site 2 - Narrow Gate Farm
Awesome friendly stay
It was a super nice farmland! There was a pool we didn’t use but looked nice. We camped up on the horse flat area and it was pretty even. We did hear a bobcat at one point in the night! Seems like the dogs and other animals kept it away. Definitely a great one night quick stay!!

a bit of trouble getting level, nut that pool! nice place for an overnight. Dogs were a little annoying.

Jim’s property is stunning! Well loved and cared for. Extremely quiet at night, we woke up to the sound of field bird songs. We were too exhausted to hang out later in the evening but noticed that Jim or someone in his family brought a horse over for the boys camping with their dad. There’s an energetic, friendly camp dog who enjoys chasing her ball. Jim’s place is our first choice when we return to the area.
