Secluded site, but just miles away from the cute town of Castle Rock WA, where you can enjoy shopping, eating, beer tastings and a trip to Mt. St Helens isn't a far drive. Enjoy floating or kayaking down the river, swimming, fishing, and enjoying the sunshine! There is a small creek located on the property with the perfect amount of shade. Flat area for tent pitching and a large gravel driveway that can accommodate multiple RV's.RV or tent camping right on the Cowlitz River. Very close to Hog Island and the Olequa boat launch is 1.4 river miles away. Enjoy the most epic sunrises and sunsets. So much to do, swimming, fishing, and relaxing! Kayaking down to the Castle Rock high school boat launch is a beautiful 4-hour float with many things to see along the way.

Great views. Cars/trains are close
16 ft car
It's close to a main road, there is some traffic noise as cars pass by. The train bridge is upriver and trains run pretty late. It quiets down at night and feels remote and peaceful. The view up and down the river is beautiful. Lots of fish and bird activity. Beautiful to wake up to with the easterly view.

The view is amazing and having your own water access was great! You have a lot of privacy for the most part but do note that neighbors to the left that have water access adjacent to this site do have dogs (put them on leash when they saw us which we appreciated) and like to play very tasteful music but quite loudly to where you definitely won’t be playing your own. Keep an eye on your step walking around the taller grass area as there are many small ditches!

Fantastic River Camping
26 ft Class C · With pets
We only stayed one night, but it is a great location and relaxing location! Lots of river wildlife made it a very memorable experience for the kids! We will definitely be back! Note: If you have a Class C RV, you may want to turn right into the site while heading north, instead of turning left into the site if going south. Our Class C is pretty low and we bent a leveling jack turning in.

Location on the river was amazing. Only negative was the that the road noise was a lot for our trip in the early mornings. Possibly being it was during the weekdays. A lot of log truck activity. Trains were not a bother at all. If hauling a trailer go past the sites driveway and on the left is a nice turnaround spot to allow entering the driveway easier. Thanks for the location.
