We have 2 RV spaces tucked in the trees above Hood Canal. Access our property via a private road. We are 10 min from Twanoh State Park, 30 min from Potlatch State Park and less than an hour from Skokomish Rec Area, Olympic National Forest, Lake Cushman, and a segment of Olympic National Park. As you can see there is plenty to do nearby!
If wine tasting and exploring quaint shops are your thing, Union and Hoodsport are just right for that. If you’re feeling lucky, we have 2 casinos both within about 30 mins. We are a great jumping off point for so much recreation! But if chilling is your thing, simply sit, relax and look up occasionally, you may just spot an eagle, herron, night hawk, owl, and even a float plane fly by.Entrance to our site is via Timber Tides which is a private road. Drive up is somewhat steep but camping space is only slightly sloped. Site is a great location to access local state parks on the hood canal, national forests, rec areas, hikes and swimming holes. You can also enjoy local restaurants, wine tasting and even try your luck at casinos in the area.

Inclusion policyWe have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination at Hipcamp. We are committed to helping our Host and Hipcamper communities be inclusive.
The halls were great hosts and the campsite is clean. It's quite close to a private road with occasional traffic so a little less private that it could have been.
Overall great for what we needed.

Mason County Camping!
22 ft campervan · With pets
We enjoyed our time at this hip camp. Tim and Laurie were very accomidating and flexible! You can see the sound thru the trees which is wonderful. Navigating the spot is easy. You cant see any houses so it feels semi private. We even walked up the in the evening and saw a beautiful view looking over the sound. We went boating in the Puget Sound and then on mason lake the next day. Great localized area for recreation! Highly recommend this Hip Camp.
