Nature's Paradise!
This property is divided into 2 different sections. Lower property has 2 sites with easy access and full hookups and great views of Mt. Rainier with a large pasture and trees that surround the area to provide privacy.
Upper property is one large leveled space with lots of privacy that backs up to the forest with incredible views.
SO many trails and places to explore in this area. Conveniently centered between the Nisqually Mt Rainier National Park entrance (15 mins) and the town of Morton (15 mins) for major restaurants and shopping. Mineral Lake is just a mile or so down the road for all your water sporting activities. You can rent kayaks and boats there. Morton has a Thriftway grocery store (the largest grocery store in all the surrounding Mt Rainier towns) as well as a variety of restaurants, a brew pub with an amazing wood fired pizza truck and various other amenities.
I’m sure the view is great I was unable to see it due to the clouds. The area is beautiful and there it is close to great hiking. The actual spot was a bit messy with a lot of the owners things scattered around the property with their RV taking much of the space. Wi-Fi was out due to a recent storm. It was a decent spot for a quick overnight.
The view of Mount Rainier from this campsite is a bucket list item. Spectacular. However the road noise from the nearby highway starts at 5am even on a Saturday. And it is loud. This is no fault of the host, of course. Just be advised.
I had an excellent stay at this property. The site is located close to mount rainier national park and the views of the mountain were incredible from the site.
Upper spot is just secluded enough and with great views. Level parking and easy access. Road noise is not too bad but if you want just the sound of nature this might not be the spot. Overall a great place to get away.
We enjoyed tent camping at this site. The road to get up there was a bit steep but loved the privacy of being on the hillside. It was dark when we arrived and the stars were amazing. We heard elk in the woods nearby but didn't see any wildlife. I woke up early and watched the sun rise while looking out at Mount Rainier. The weather was great so it was perfect. We didn't make a campfire but appreciated there was wood up there. Since there's an RV up there, it felt a bit cluttered with all of the chairs and stuff but we only stayed one night and the price was great so it wasn't a deal breaker. The outdoor rugs were great and there were water jugs filled up which was nice. The site is worth the views, especially if you are coming from Olympic (Quinault side) as its on the way. We ate at a great breakfast spot in town (about 15 mins away) called Papa Bears. The site is worth the views alone.
