The site is in a really lovely location, tucked away among trees but still conveniently located to restaurants in town! We loved the coffee/tea station and the trails throughout the property. The camp site itself was smaller than expected, so large tents may be challenged to fit. The spot was also at a pretty noticeable slope, which does make tent sleeping a little uncomfortable. Overall good experience!
Nice quiet spot. Convenient to town and parks. Hosts very responsive and helpful. We were in the RV spot with our camper van. The only thing I would mention is that the composting toilet is a good distance from the parking spot, reached by a trail through the forest. As we were in a van we didn't use the kitchen and other facilities which looked nice and were closer to the toilet.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Shawn (not sure about the spelling) greeted us and was more than welcoming. He offered a tour which was most helpful. We wouldn't have found the toilet on our own. He was accommodating with a lil portable toilet for our use and brought us both potable and non potable water. The site itself was off to the side of the property but right next to the gravel road. There is no privacy. The terrain at the site was a lil dangerous and uneven (rocks, pavement, holes). We did notice they had a few trees potted along side the campsite so eventually it will have a lil privacy. There were many trails to explore and get connected with nature. I REALLY enjoyed the camp kitchen. They have a few utensils a couple cups drinking water a mini cooler a couple camp chairs a lantern for use paper towels a first aid kit tea and coffee and a mini fridge for use. The hammock was comfy. The table and chairs were awesome for journaling.
We had a great mini-camping retreat at Rain Moon Sun Sanctuary. It was a great place for our 4 yr old to explore and the kitchen and bathroom setup made things so easy and comfortable. We were also lucky enough to meet Sarah, Sean, and some of their lovely animals who all made us feel at home.
Great spot - shady and cool and loved the camp kitchen and composting toilet. Perfect for a night on Vashon!
