Skoolie: A school bus that has been converted into a tiny home. Come stay in our 1992 Thomas school bus that we converted into a beautiful tiny home and now share with all of you in our backyard. It has running water, electricity, a king sized bed, a tiny kitchen and a bathroom. We installed cedar ceilings throughout the bus which makes it feel (and smell) very cozy. (+$15/child/stay) Come stay in our 1992 Thomas school bus that we converted into a beautiful tiny home and now share with all of you in our backyard. It has running water, electricity, a king sized bed, a tiny kitchen and a bathroom. The front couches double as two twin sized beds. We installed cedar ceilings throughout the bus which makes it feel (and smell) very cozy. We have YouTube + Instagram if you're interested in the build, @Colaventures QUIRKS The bus isn’t insulated like a house, so the temperatures can be extreme in the summer and winter. The mini wood burning stove in the bedroom will keep you very warm in the winter, and we’ve also provided an electric space heater and extra blankets to ensure your comfort. In the summer we provide to fans and several of the windows have screens to move the air through. There is also an AC unit in the bedroom. The bus is in our yard so you'll have access to our patio space, outdoor fire pit, BBQ and the kids toys that they leave around the yard :) The toilet is a hassle-free, water-free Natures Head composting toilet that is very easy to use. Here are some tips we'd like you to know: We all sit to pee here. Don’t put anything other than toilet paper down the hatch. Please be SO CAREFUL not to get any TP into the front pee holes, or push any TP towards the pee area below when you close the flap, it clogs the pipe and requires a devastating clean up job for us. We appreciate your diligence in this matter. PRIVACY The bus is located in our backyard, with the patio in between our house and the bus. The back side of the bus is surrounded by our huge laurel bush, which gives a private feel while on the bus. We will be right across the yard to answer any questions you might have, get you anything you need or just talk Skoolie.

The Skoolie was as described, thoughtfully designed with basics provided, hosts were responsive and friendly. It was very hot during my stay and they were kind enough to start the AC before I arrived so it was very comfortable on my arrival. Would stay again.

With kids
The Skoolie was thoughtfully done, clean, fun and had everything we needed. The garden/setting seemed lovely but we were on the run and didn’t relax in it. It was located closely to places to eat and the state parks we were going to events in. I made a mistake with reservations and everything was handled kindly.
