Close to Snowshoe Mountain, at only 1 mile drive from the entrance to Snowshoe Mountain Resort. This is a great spot for mountain bikers and river lovers. So close to snowshoe and affordable makes this an easy decision. Also the wildlife, flowers, and river on the property make this a truly powerful place. There is some traffic and noise from the road but it quiets down through the night and all you can hear is the trickle of the stream. We have a lovely 20 acre are that has easy to pull up to camp sites and some that take a short walk but are able to camp right near the river bed. We offer camping for all ranges of groups and travelers. We have campsites for tents, cars and vans, big RV's and Trailers, and then group sized sites. Please contact us and we can accommodate you in any size or style. We have cheap options for the solo and travelers on budgets and we have some nice options to get furnished tents and private fireplaces, with private river views and beach/play areas. Contact us with any questions or comments. You can google us anytime and Snowshoe Valley Camping.

Trashy Hay Field
If you’re going to have campsites available in December, then invest in a proper roadway. It’s a good thing I drove my 4x4 truck. If your campers don’t pick up after themselves then you do it. It’s your “campground”. The campsite I reserved (#6) had an old tent and rug that I would have had to move in order to set up our tent. I wasn’t about to move someone else’s dirty, wet, nasty crap. In fact, there was trash at most of the campsites. I’m sure this “campground” isn’t your only means of making a living, but you might want to put some more attention into it if you want to continue renting campsites. As it currently stands, I wouldn’t recommend anyone camp at your trashy hay field. We left after one night and slept in our vehicle the rest of the trip.

Quiet campsite with the river flowing right beyond the bushes. Easy to find. No AT&T or Verizon service.

Great spot
Very easy to get to and 15 mins to the summit of the resort. Exactly what I wanted.

Easy in, easy out. It’s very close to Snowshoe. There are two outhouses side by side that were clean. The whole area has poor mobile phone reception which should be taken into account when traveling in this region.

Being able to reserve at any hour was HUGE when looking for a site in the dark after dispersed camping nearby was filled. The spot was easy to pull up to, port-a-johns nearby, and a lot of things were on the field that looked like it'd be a really fun place in the summer (a music stage!?). If I'm back in Snowshoe I'll definitely have a spot here again

The space I stayed in had the amazing sounds of the stream and night bugs, it was so peaceful. I just needed one night, it worked out well for me.
