Check out the unique geology of the Carolina bays and camp among the tranquil forests of Jones Lake State Park. The Jones Lake Campground offers peaceful wooded sites to pitch it or park it so you can get out and explore the trails and waterways this park offers. Pack a picnic and hit the lakeside Bay Trail which loops around Jones Lake with many scenic vistas to rest at. Bring your small boat or rent a canoe and get out on the water for some floating and fishing. Afterwards hit the sandy beach and shallow swimming area for some R&R. Sounds like a plan!
