Not to be mistaken with the nefarious Peter Pettigrew of the Harry Potter series, Pettigrew State Park Campground offers a straightforward and serene place to stretch your legs and revel in the lighter side of nature. Paddle down the North Carolina rivers or cast a line for some mouthwatering largemouth bass. Flaunting age-old cypress trees and wildflowers that speckle the landscape, it's just unfortunate you don't have some floo powder to transport you there.

Pettigrew State Park also has historic Southern home. From your campsite you can stroll on over and see the relative glory of the mansion right next to squat sad slave quarters. Gives sense of history without a lecture. Also, Live Goats!
has mixed feelings towards this listing.
