Cozy Cabin W/ Lake View & Hot Tub

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Catlettsburg, KY
Welcome to our Little Lakeview Cabin. We set this up for the perfect couples getaway, the view in the fall is breath taking. Morning coffee on the covered front porch, watching the leaves fall and steam rise from the lake is just 😍. Our location is settled in nicely, get the remote feeling, without being super remote. Distance from destination points: * Camp Landing Entertainment District - 15 mins * Tri State Airport - 15 mins * Rush Off Road Park - 15 mins * Grayson Lake - 35 mins * Greenbo Lake - 40 mins * Yatesville Lake - 40 mins * Cave Run Lake - 1.5 hr We are also within delivery area for food partners / Walmart delivery if you prefer to stay in. Now for the goods, Why is it the perfect little getaway you ask? Not only is the cabin in a quiet neighborhood nested on a hill by itself with the perfect view. We have a fenced in side yard with a hot tub, which offers privacy for those (well you know) moments. You’ll also have access to a propane grill, Outdoor heater (seasonal only), Outdoor games (Corn hole, Giant Connect 4), Fire pit over looking the lake with seating (We provide one bundle of wood, more can be purchased or you can bring your own). Not looking to be outdoors? No problem, we have some board games available to play, a Roku TV (maybe cozy up and watch a movie), and a Game System preloaded with games to play! This location does not have cell phone service that works very well, which is the perfect time to disconnect from the world. We do offer WIFI, if you choose to be connected, also It powers our Roku Tv. Our cabin is an open floor plan, as you can see from the photos. We have a queen size bed with sheets that will knock you out faster then (Fred Flintstone) only some will know who that is. Our couch / futon folds out and can accommodate 2 more people kind of snug. We have a full oven with cooking utensils and spices. Mini Fridge with freezer with enough space to store food for a few days. K Cup coffee machine with creamer and k cups on hand. We would like to think we have everything you need to make yourself at home, minus clothes. If you find your self needing something that should be there. Let us know, this is a fresh new build and you will be one of the first guest to stay and enjoy our cozy cabin. We also offer Self Check In, you will receive your door code the day of check in. So you can come and go as you please. Note: We do have a security camera in place, showing the traffic coming up the hill in to the driveway. This is the only location with camera access, so you can retain the privacy you desire. Also we designed this cabin for 2 people comfortably, however as mentioned above, the futon can accommodate to smaller individuals as needed. With that said we have a cap of 4 occupants maximum.

The best camping near Chief Logan State Park guide

Overview

About

One of West Virginia’s most beloved parks, Chief Logan State Park is surrounded by rolling crests and valleys, with 18 miles of hiking trails winding out from basecamp. Some are great for mountain biking, others for snapping photos of wildflowers and fauna. They vary in intensity from relaxing, to worthy of a carbo-load, but even if you work up a sweat the park has an outdoor swimming pool with waterslides to cool you off (the pool hosts several “pool bashes” in the summertime, complete with DJ!) An outdoor amphitheater at the park puts on The Aracoma Story regularly, a play about the tribe that formerly occupied the area. There’s also a wildlife center for observing black bears, bobcats, owls, hawks, wild boar, and reptiles native to the region, and a Kanawha Class locomotive on display for train enthusiasts. Even if you can’t make it to any of this limitless recreation in the warmer months, the park is worth a drive-thru in December—they get really into Christmas lights, great for a scenic sunset drive capped off by whimsical holiday cheer.

When to go

The ideal time to visit Chief Logan State Park is during the spring and fall when the weather is mild and the natural beauty is at its peak. Summer brings warmth perfect for outdoor activities, though it can be crowded. Winters are less ideal, with cooler temperatures and fewer services available.

Know before you go

  • Check the park's official website for any alerts on closures or safety advisories before your visit.
  • Ensure you have a map of the park, as cell service can be spotty in remote areas.
  • Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for hiking and exploring the diverse terrain.
  • Be mindful of the local wildlife; keep a safe distance and do not feed the animals.
  • Take advantage of the available facilities, including picnic areas and restrooms, to make your visit comfortable.
